Description
DLT-5 asphalt melting equipment developed by our company uses
conduction oil as heating medium to heat, melt, dump and dewater
asphalt through heating coil and conduction oil boiler exhaust gas
residual heat. The equipment can ensure asphalt heating quality,
and features high thermal efficiency, quick asphalt dumping, low
labor intensity and less pollution.
Bitumen drum melter components
The equipment mainly consists of melting tank, lifting system,
tipping devices, asphalt drum plate, dripping asphalt collect
system, hydraulic propulsion system, thermal oil heating system,
bitumen pump, pipe system, and electric control system.
Working principle
The equipment adopts automatic spring door sealed box structure.
The drum is lifted by electrical hoisting. The hydraulic propeller
pushes drum plate into the melter, and using the hot thermal oil
from external boiler as the heating source.
Continuous production one full drum in and one empty drum out from
the other end.
Features
1. The drums loading operation is made by the electric lifting
system. The empty drums are pushed out on the back side.
2. The heating required to melt the bitumen is provided by heat
conducting oil.
3. The equipment consists of upper and lower two rooms, the upper
one for melting the bitumen barrels, surrounded by evenly
distributed thermal oil coils, heating coils and asphalt barrel
mainly using the thermal radiation heating mode to melt the bitumen
from the barrels. The lower room is mainly for increasing the
heating temperature of the bitumen that melted from the barrels
till reach to (110 degree), then Bitumen outlet pump will transfer
the bitumen outside to be ready for use if extend the heating time
can be obtained a higher temperature to (160 degree).
4. Easy to put the barrels inside the equipment without any
platforms with high efficiency.
5. No need for trolley or any wrench to carry the barrel inside the
plant.
6. Simple structure, with automatic spring door, easy to maintain.

pollution.

quickly.
